Amy Roach is completing her practicum and internship for a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree at North Carolina Central University. As a requirement for graduation, as well as for licensure with the NC Board of Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Amy is expected to work directly with clients for her final year of studies. As an intern with Riverstone Wellness Collaborative, Amy will receive clinical supervision to enhance her learning experience. Amy also plans to complete requirements to earn her Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist credentials. She also holds a Masters in Teaching from Meredith College and she has taught for 10 years.
Amy hopes to gain experience with play and art therapy. She is also interested in working with individuals who have experienced loss, trauma, and addiction. During her practicum and internship, Amy will be working with individual adults and children.
