LGBTQ+ Therapy: Understanding the Closet Experience, Trauma, and Attachment will focus on LGBTQ+ terminology, trauma, relationships, attachment, therapeutic modalities, and shame.
Learning Objectives

Participants will have a basic understanding of the LGBTQ+ experience of trauma.

Participants will be able to articulate 3-5 unique challenges associated with the LGBTQ+ population and how these impact attachments and relationships.

Participants will learn and be able to apply 5-6 therapeutic interventions that are specific to working with the LGBTQ+ community.

Participants will learn how to collaborate and refer to outside resources for LGBTQ+ clients.
3 NBCC Credit Hours will be awarded at the completion of the training.
